COD AW - RIP My Friend...

So Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is now officially dead, well in my opinion anyway. It was really hard trying to find an online match when the game was actually a little busier, but now it's like pulling teeth! I spent around 2 hours just trying to search for a Team Deathmatch game in the Core playlist, sadly no one joined, and I was there alone :( Shame after all the time, they still haven't fixed the matchmaking.

I know that a lot of people thought that AW was a waste of time, and was a terrible game, but personally, It was one of my favourites, and still will be... I can only hope that they make a reboot but keep the core gameplay the same because it was awesome! It was actually a COD game I was pretty decent at!

All in all, we completed everything there was to complete in our Clan and got to Max Level, and now have the funky red clan tag, which to be honest did look awesome as opposed to the golden coloured one. I am sitting pretty comfortably at Prestige 9 or 10. There's no way I can get any higher with the way the game is...

So today is a sad day, and we put COD AW to rest! Sleep well, my friend...

Black Ops 3 was a mediocre reboot of the Black Ops Series, and lets not even talk about Infinite Warfare or the remaster of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare! I have no words, just disgust... sorry devs but the games are awful, the reviews speak for themselves, please do something to stop the franchise dying a horrible death!

Apologies for the whiney post today! ;)

COD AW - Clan Raids/Companion App Update...

Good morning everyone, this is just a quick one as well to show you the recent updates made to the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare companion app.

It shows that the Clan Raids are definitely coming soon to a clan near you, and you have the chance to participate.

Take a look at the screenshots below, before I go into more detail about the clan Raids, and what they have to offer...

As discussed in a previous blog post, there was a preview of Clan Raids for Diamond Division clans to take an exclusive sneak peak, before it's released to all clan leaders worldwide.

Releasing a preview to a certain 'Elite' squad of players is a bit of a mixed bag of reactions for me, I think it's slightly unfair that these clans get to see this in action, and earn rewards before the rest of us do, I feel like we have put the same amount of effort if not more effort into getting our clan where it is today than they have.

On the other hand however, they have worked hard and deserve rewards for that, so I can see it from both sides if i'm honest.

Anyway... the results are in from the preview, and the reviews were mixed, A commander or Lt. Commander can start a clan raid at any time, and you either have to follow a set of objectives in a set amount of time in the correct order, or you can compete in objectives that can be done in any order.

These are fairly similar to clan wars, being that you have to win certain matches, the only difference is you have to win a certain amount of matches within a restricted time limit...

There were comments that a clan of 3 people had to win 75+ matches in 3 hours, is this even possible? I think Sledgehammer have set the bar a little bit too high here, because if the average Domination match takes 10 minutes to complete, then that's 18 matches you could win in an hour, and if you times 18 by the number of clan members (18x3) this equates to 54 and that's assuming that all 18 matches were won in a row... so what are they thinking?

An important note to add is that even if you have a clan of 10 people, the leaders get to choose who competes in the Clan Raids, and get added to a 'Firing Squad' team, the firing squad can then earn the following rewards:

  • Exclusive in-game items
  • Clan XP
  • Clan Tokens
  • Enlistment to other Clan Raids
All in all I think the reviews are fairly positive, albeit the challenges are a little bit difficult, but this opens up a new dimension to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and brings clans closer together, Sledgehammer have really focused on bringing the community together here, and they have done a great job in terms of increasing the social aspect of the game! so credit where credit is due.

Again if you are interested in joining our clan (RHN) not to be the best, but just to socialise and win some goodies perhaps, then leave a comment below, or shoot me a message (I'm all ears)

Thanks guys :)
