COD AW - Clan Raids/Companion App Update...

Good morning everyone, this is just a quick one as well to show you the recent updates made to the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare companion app.

It shows that the Clan Raids are definitely coming soon to a clan near you, and you have the chance to participate.

Take a look at the screenshots below, before I go into more detail about the clan Raids, and what they have to offer...

As discussed in a previous blog post, there was a preview of Clan Raids for Diamond Division clans to take an exclusive sneak peak, before it's released to all clan leaders worldwide.

Releasing a preview to a certain 'Elite' squad of players is a bit of a mixed bag of reactions for me, I think it's slightly unfair that these clans get to see this in action, and earn rewards before the rest of us do, I feel like we have put the same amount of effort if not more effort into getting our clan where it is today than they have.

On the other hand however, they have worked hard and deserve rewards for that, so I can see it from both sides if i'm honest.

Anyway... the results are in from the preview, and the reviews were mixed, A commander or Lt. Commander can start a clan raid at any time, and you either have to follow a set of objectives in a set amount of time in the correct order, or you can compete in objectives that can be done in any order.

These are fairly similar to clan wars, being that you have to win certain matches, the only difference is you have to win a certain amount of matches within a restricted time limit...

There were comments that a clan of 3 people had to win 75+ matches in 3 hours, is this even possible? I think Sledgehammer have set the bar a little bit too high here, because if the average Domination match takes 10 minutes to complete, then that's 18 matches you could win in an hour, and if you times 18 by the number of clan members (18x3) this equates to 54 and that's assuming that all 18 matches were won in a row... so what are they thinking?

An important note to add is that even if you have a clan of 10 people, the leaders get to choose who competes in the Clan Raids, and get added to a 'Firing Squad' team, the firing squad can then earn the following rewards:

  • Exclusive in-game items
  • Clan XP
  • Clan Tokens
  • Enlistment to other Clan Raids
All in all I think the reviews are fairly positive, albeit the challenges are a little bit difficult, but this opens up a new dimension to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and brings clans closer together, Sledgehammer have really focused on bringing the community together here, and they have done a great job in terms of increasing the social aspect of the game! so credit where credit is due.

Again if you are interested in joining our clan (RHN) not to be the best, but just to socialise and win some goodies perhaps, then leave a comment below, or shoot me a message (I'm all ears)

Thanks guys :)

COD AW - Clan Wars & Clan Raids...

So I've talked about our clan RHN being level 22 now and I was searching and searching to find out how many levels our clan could go up to, and what rewards we can reep.

Something I haven't quite found out yet, is how much clan xp you earn and when... so I'm going to keep looking :)

So here is a list of the rewards you can earn from clan level progression:

I'm sure you probably already knew this, but I didn't :P

So if you're not already in a clan, get in one now to earn some awesome rewards because a little bit of double XP goes a long way, and the red/golden clan tags look cool too :-)

Clan Raids

Something else coming soon are Clan Raids, this gives you the opportunity to spend your clan tokens (We have 900 in the bank) to participate in time sensitive challenges to get some great rewards, from what I can gather you participate with other clans and can earn some exclusive loadout items, which looks like the below:

The Equilibrium Set
What's even better is, there will be a Clan Raid preview for Clans in the Diamond Division starting on 09/03/2015... Just two days away!!

If you are in a clan and competing in a clan raid, please let me know how it goes :)

COD AW - Clan Wars...

Hello, I just wanted to say that another thing I like about Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is the Clan Wars option, I'm in a clan called RHN which is short for Rhino and is the name of a cute little guinea pig :)

There's 3 active players in our clan, so if you are looking to join a clan not to be the best, but just so your'e in one with decent people who like to play and win then let me know :)

We recently competed in the last clan war in the platinum division and came 1st, we've won two in a row now, so we are eligible for the Diamond Division, but we haven't collectively decided whether or not to go for this yet, as there's a sense of fear that were not good enough to win :P

#Awesome
This is a screen shot from the Call of Duty companion app, that we use it's not as good as the old Black Ops 2 Elite app, or the competitions in there, but it's still great, intense fun...

We dominated this one, but lost Team Deathmatch right at the end grrrrr...

And might I just add, that I find Search and Rescue/Destroy to be the most difficult game mode I've ever played, it must have taken me 5 or 6 hours at least to get the 6 wins needed to take control of the hospital.

When our rewards come through, I'll let you know what they are :-)

See you again later on :)
