COD AW - Hardcore Team Deathmatch Gameplay...

I'm sorry that I haven't been blogging in a while, I have some very exciting news to share, look what came through the post the other day :D

I chose the Elgato Game Capture HD, because it had great reviews, and I like the fact that you can record your gameplay directly to your computers HDD, as others I've looked at require a flash drive, external HDD, and it's just far too much expense, so this is a short term investment for a long term gain (Hopefully).

So without further ado, I would like to present myself (Dweelan) and my friend Jennwee (JENNorthernSoul),

We played Hardcore Team Deathmatch on one of our favourite maps 'Terrace' and the result for both of us was quite pleasing, we did die a few times, but we hit them even harder, and managed to scrape a close victory...

But it's the winning that counts right?

If you enjoy this video, please let me know what you think :)

*Update* A couple of people have mentioned that the video is of poor quality, so I've uploaded it to YouTube and linked it directly to here, if you are finding it difficult to see, click the little 'Gear' and change the video to HD (I would recommend 1080HD if your internet connection is up to scratch.

I know it's a little hard to watch both screens at once, with it being split-screen Gameplay, but it's worth a second watch to see how the other person fairs.

I particularly like around 4:30 into the video, here you can see me and Jen clearing both entrances to 'The Room' now that's teamwork!

I would like to point out that I don't normally 'Camp' which is probably why my K/D ratio is ridiculous, I'm more of a run and gun type person, and when it pays off, it pays off big time!

On one final note, it was an absolute nightmare trying to get this video below 100mb because Blogger does not support files bigger than this. It's taken me a full evening and half of this morning, to get it to the correct stage, by running it through various compression software.

Because of this, the quality has had to suffer a little bit, but it should be clear enough for you to see the action!

As always, if you like what you see, please let me know in the comments below, I do seem to get a few views on my blog, but no one seems to want to speak to me :(

Enjoy the rest of your day!

COD AW - New Prestige Level/Recent Clan War...

Good afternoon all, I have entered into the next Prestige mode, Prestige 7.

Nothing great that unlocked, apart from an Advanced Supply Drop, you now get one at levels 20, 30, 40 and when you enter your next prestige mode!!! Bring on the Advanced supply drops!
Prestige Level 7 Emblem

I'm very very close to Prestige level 8, and I'm in need of a good week long double XP, so I can get to my goal of becoming a Prestige Grand Master (Which will probably never happen)...

Oh well here's to hoping.

Keep an eye out for a post going up in the next hour or so, it's a good one! :-)
The emblem pictured somewhere over there >>> is very cool looking, it has a picture of a fist with an Exo glove on there, and there's some sort of medieval/sword/angel theme going on there, definitely one of my favourite emblems so far! :-)

And moving onto the recent clan war that we particpated in over the weekend, we won (Again) making this our third win in a row, I'm very frustrated about two things.

  1. The fact that Search and Destroy was one of the territories that needed to be captured, I cannot and will not play Search and Destroy ever again, because it took me a full day to get the 6 wins needed!!! Grrrrrrr just WHHHHHHY!!!
  2. And again right at the very last minute, after dominating most territories for the majority of the clan war, someone swings by in the last few minutes and captures our location, this time it was Domination!!! Oooooh It's on!!!!
So those are my frustrations for the game over the weekend, I'm still quite annoyed even though we won, a lot of hard work went into Dominating this Clan War, whoever messed it up I will find you... and I will kill you! hahaha...

The Imitation Game - Movie Review...

The Imitation Game
Release Date: 25/12/2014
Estimated Budget: $14,000,000
Won 50 Awards (Including an Oscar)

"Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine".

The Imitation game follows the story of Alan Turing, and is based on real events during World War II.

The story follows the amazing work that Alan Turing and his team of Cryptanalysts undertook to crack the Enigma code!

The Enigma code was created to send encrypted messages to German soldiers, without the British being able to read them, this was to strike at the heart of Britain with the element of surprise, all the British could do was sit back, and watch the Country being torn apart.

This was before mathematician Turing did something amazing, did something that no one else could possibly imagine, and crack the Enigma Code.

When you watch this movie, you feel like you are part of something special, it instantly grabs you, and fills you with a sense of awe.

Benedict Cumberbatch' performance as Turing is second-to-none, from the humble BBC Drama Sherlock, to a multi-award winning movie, starring alongside the one and only Keira Knightley.

I was a little bit unmotivated to give this movie a go, because i'm not a big History or a World War fan, but this movie had me engrossed from the start, and is right up my street.

One of the best movies of 2014, and well worth a 5 Star review!

Further Storyline (Source IMDb)

"Based on the real life story of legendary cryptanalyst Alan Turing, the film portrays the nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team of code-breakers at Britain's top-secret Government Code and Cypher School at Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II".

COD AW - St. Patrick's Day Update...

Sorry it's been a while, I did have some scheduled movie reviews to go out, but for some reason they haven't gone out, so that's why there has been dead silence for the past few days.

I think I am going to review more movies, because it's something I really like to do, so if you have any suggestions of a movie to review, please let me know :)

Moving on to Call of Duty - Advanced Warfare! This St. Patricks day, the gaffers of the game have decided to release 24 hours of double XP (my phone autocorrects this to DO) it  ran from 17/03/2015 - 4pm (GMT) to 18/03/2015 - 4pm (GMT). I got to playing COD at around quarter past 4, managed to get one game worth of double Do, and then poof! It went... Absolutely gutted and so close to the next prestige level too!

In other news, Advanced Supply Drops have now reached the Xbox 360, again these are in-game content you can purchase, with real life money.

You can purchase a maximum of 230 of these at the moment, this is until the limit is lifted in the nearby future.

If you did opt to buy the full 230 you'd be looking at around £350.00, they aren't cheap and in my opinion, unless every item was guaranteed to be an Elite item, then I think it's not worth it.

Each Item again comes with its own armory slot, when you do sell an item for XP it does give you that free armory slot as well, which is a nice little bonus, and as always at least one item in the drop will be of professional level or higher, meaning you are guaranteed at least 1000xp if you sell this item from each drop.

And finally, the next Clan War hits Mexico, and is coming on the 20/03/2015 (Tomorrow) I have a feeling that this is going to be quite late for us Brits.

The Hundred-Foot Journey - Movie Review...

The Hundred-Foot Journey: Release Date - 08/08/2014
Estimated Budget: $22,000,000
Nominated for a Golden Globe Award

"Your home is where your family is".

The Hundred-Foot Journey is a feel-good movie which combines beautiful scenery, with great food and impeccable acting, heavily based around a collision of culture and values, but ultimately a love story in the making.

This movie has a gripping Storyline, and the writer has made a unique connection with the audience, after watching this movie, you feel like you know each and every one of the characters personally.

When the Kadam family are forced to move away from their home Country, due to a tragedy, they take the decision to move to small French village, not by choice but an accident in their vehicle causes them to break down, is this fate?

The Kadam family decide to purchase a derelict building exactly one Hundred feet away from  Madame Mallory's (Helen Mirren) Michelin-starred restaurant.

Panic ensues, and this is the start of 'Restaurant Wars' between the two heads (Om Puri/Helen Mirren) in the midst of all of the problems, a great young chef 'Hassan' earns his way from being at the bottom of the pile all the way to the tippity top of his profession.

The comedic value added by Om Puri (East is East) and the impeccable french accent by Helen Mirren (The Queen) adds to the overall excitement of this film.

This is by far one of the best stories I have followed and one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time, I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone.

Unfortunately I have not given this movie a 5 Star review, because it can seem a little 'empty' in places, and I feel there were more opportunities in this movie for the characters lives to be explored a little more,

Further Storlyline (Source IMDb).

"The family of talented cook, Hassan Kadam, has a life filled with both culinary delights and profound loss. Drifting through Europe after fleeing political violence in India that killed the family restaurant business and their mother, the Kadams arrive in France. Once there, a chance auto accident and the kindness of a young woman, Marguerite, in the village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val inspires Papa Kadam to set up a Indian restaurant there. Unfortunately, this puts the Kadams in direct competition with the snobbish Madame Mallory's acclaimed haute cuisine establishment across the street where Marguerite also works as a sous-chef. The resulting rivalry eventually escalates in personal intensity until it goes too far. In response, there is a bridging of sides initiated by Hassan, Marguerite and Madame Mallory herself, both professional and personal, that encourages an understanding that will change both sides forever".

Focus - Movie Review...

Focus: Release Date - 27/02/2015
Estimated Budget: $50,100,000

Focus... The con is on!
A group of high profile tricksters carry out a series of heists and scoop 1.2 Million Dollars by conducting high volume, low risk pick pocketing.

The stakes are increased when the takings are gambled, but who comes out on top?

The game is upped when the marks are located, and the big con begins, a multi-million dollar deal is about to go down, who will fall victim, and who will be victorious?

Will Smith (Men in Black) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) perfectly play the role of villain in a story of love, hardship and heartbreak.

Throughout watching this movie, it kept me in suspense most of the way through, it's comedic value gives you a little chuckle along the way, but the suspense literally has you hanging off your seat, with so many twists and turns, this movie will get you thinking from the start.

Within my movie reviews, I also wanted to put in the official Storyline from a site like IMDb just to give you more insight into the movie.

"Nicky Spurgeon (Smith) is an extremely accomplished con man who takes an amateur con artist, Jess (Robbie), under his wing. Nicky and Jess become romantically involved, and with Nicky's profession of being a liar and a cheater for a living, he realizes that deception and love are things that don't go together. They split, only to see each other three years later... And things get messy". Source: IMDb

Social Gaming - World's End...

Social gaming is something I've been participating in since I was 15, I've played my fair share of online games, the majority of which I have played (and am still playing on Facebook).

Everyone at some point in there life, has probably harvested a few crops on Farmville, or dressed their pet up in Pet Society, but the games I play on Facebook have a bit more of a unique genre.

Commonly referred to as 'Clicking games' there is no real concept of playing a video game, but does it mean it can't be fun? Absolutely not I've probably collectively spent more hours on Facebook playing various games than I have playing PC or console games...

You might be thinking, well what's the point, why does he keep playing these games? The real reason behind this is the community of players, I went through a fairly tough time when I was younger, and found Facebook, started talking to a few genuine people I can actually call friends, and met one or two of them in real life also.

You might be thinking are you barmy, how do you know what you're letting yourself in for? but I'll tell you what, escaping to my 'online life' is sometimes a lot better than the real life I live on occasion, it draws you in and for a brief moment you forget, and just enjoy playing the games, and getting on with people.

For some of my real life friends, I think Social gaming is hard to grasp, it's hard to explain what these games are, and why they are interesting, they are also so popular, so the game developers must be doing something right!

The game I'm going to talk about today is World's End, as time passes I'm going to be doing a more of an in depth review of the features, and what you can actually do in here.

World's End is in my opinion a Strategy game, a clicking based browser game albeit, it's one my favourite games that I've played of all time, so much so that I've been playing for 1931 days (you can do the maths) I've invested a lot of my time into this game, a lot of effort and I've helped the game grow by making the occasional in-game purchase of game currency known as 'War Credits'

The aim of the game is to progress through various levels and brackets, building up a strong squad of players, and have kick-ass weapons, to take on the community and fight your way to the top.

This is commonly known as the 'Most deadliest game on Facebook' and it certainly lives up to its name, from punching a fellow solider, to a fully blown nuclear attack, this game has it all.

If you're intrigued by this and would like to give the game a go, follow the link below, be sure to check back regularly for updates, and a bit more guidance of what you can do in the game.

Screenshot of my Level 22,000+ Solider
"World's End is set in the near future after the collapse of the world as we know it. Following a nuclear war many former nations have banded together and formed national alliances. These newly formed alliances are in a constant struggle for power. Choose an alliance and join in the battle. Carry out missions, amass territories, build up your arsenal of weapons, gear and vehicles.

The world will end, how is up to you".

Click here to play the game (requires Facebook account).

UPDATE: World's End has unfortunately came to an end and is no longer available to play anywhere online! We had fun whilst it lasted :)

COD AW - My New Playercard...

Good afternoon all, if you weren't working today, I hope you've managed to have a nice lie in (I know I have) sorry to those who haven't, but maybe next weekend eh? :P

I just wanted to show you my recent Playercard that I've created in COD - AW, so if you happen to come across me in a game I'm playing, feel free to check my blog out (I'm assuming if you're reading this, you might have done that), and also feel free to send a message, a game invite or whatever...

If you want to criticise the way I play my game, then please don't, I don't how many times I've said this but I'm not pretending to be the best COD player in the world, I just like hanging out with my friends, having a laugh, killing and of course dying loads :-)

Have a great rest of the weekend :)

COD AW - Clan Raids/Companion App Update...

Good morning everyone, this is just a quick one as well to show you the recent updates made to the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare companion app.

It shows that the Clan Raids are definitely coming soon to a clan near you, and you have the chance to participate.

Take a look at the screenshots below, before I go into more detail about the clan Raids, and what they have to offer...

As discussed in a previous blog post, there was a preview of Clan Raids for Diamond Division clans to take an exclusive sneak peak, before it's released to all clan leaders worldwide.

Releasing a preview to a certain 'Elite' squad of players is a bit of a mixed bag of reactions for me, I think it's slightly unfair that these clans get to see this in action, and earn rewards before the rest of us do, I feel like we have put the same amount of effort if not more effort into getting our clan where it is today than they have.

On the other hand however, they have worked hard and deserve rewards for that, so I can see it from both sides if i'm honest.

Anyway... the results are in from the preview, and the reviews were mixed, A commander or Lt. Commander can start a clan raid at any time, and you either have to follow a set of objectives in a set amount of time in the correct order, or you can compete in objectives that can be done in any order.

These are fairly similar to clan wars, being that you have to win certain matches, the only difference is you have to win a certain amount of matches within a restricted time limit...

There were comments that a clan of 3 people had to win 75+ matches in 3 hours, is this even possible? I think Sledgehammer have set the bar a little bit too high here, because if the average Domination match takes 10 minutes to complete, then that's 18 matches you could win in an hour, and if you times 18 by the number of clan members (18x3) this equates to 54 and that's assuming that all 18 matches were won in a row... so what are they thinking?

An important note to add is that even if you have a clan of 10 people, the leaders get to choose who competes in the Clan Raids, and get added to a 'Firing Squad' team, the firing squad can then earn the following rewards:

  • Exclusive in-game items
  • Clan XP
  • Clan Tokens
  • Enlistment to other Clan Raids
All in all I think the reviews are fairly positive, albeit the challenges are a little bit difficult, but this opens up a new dimension to Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, and brings clans closer together, Sledgehammer have really focused on bringing the community together here, and they have done a great job in terms of increasing the social aspect of the game! so credit where credit is due.

Again if you are interested in joining our clan (RHN) not to be the best, but just to socialise and win some goodies perhaps, then leave a comment below, or shoot me a message (I'm all ears)

Thanks guys :)

COD AW - Prestige Level Challenge Resets...

This is just a really really quick post to share my excitement about something I've just found out today *Can I get another drum roll please*

LOL just kidding, it's not really that exciting, but I have found that when you do prestige in COD AW, all of your challenges reset (bit of a bummer) but your camo unlocks and challenges stay active!

This is a very very good thing, because getting those dogfight, and longshot medals are an absolute nightmare!!

Thank you Activision/Sledgehammer :-)

COD AW - New Prestige Level...

So I've been playing COD now pretty much none stop over the past 2 days, and managed to scoop another prestige level, so now I'm Prestige level 6, and more than half way through to the next prestige level 7.

The prestige 6 emblem is pretty cool, it's a dragon presenting what seems to be a replica of a Scottish flag, that's a bit weird that it reminds me of a Scottish flag but it's still really really cool :)
Prestige 6 Emblem
I'm also quite chuffed to announce that a new piece of loadout gear was unlocked, when I entered this prestige level, and this was the 'Atlas Tier 1 Shirt' an all red shirt, with black pockets and an orange zip, pretty cool as it looks close to the bloodshot loadout items.

During pretty much constantly playing COD over the past 48 hours, the game has become quite glitchy in places and quite frustrating, it feels like an unfinished piece of work, but when it works it works very well :)

The most frustrating thing is that I'm constantly getting messages such as 'No Games Found' when searching for a game, not sure what causes this, whether it's the matchmaking, or whether there genuinely isn't anybody else playing, but surely this can't be right?

Another thing that made me chuckle was when I was in the firing range, testing out the new MK14 - Eclipse I unlocked the other day.

And these were my results... LOL

103% Accuracy? GO ME! lol, again sorry for the bad picture quality, capture card will be with me in the next 10 days or so :-)

And I leave you with a final thought, Easter is one of my favourite times of year, because of the family comings together, and also the fact that Easter Eggs are the best invention since sliced bread.

Here's a picture of Betty the Cow enjoying kicking some ass in COD.

My Car Music Playlist...

So not only am I a dab hand at writing a couple of movie reviews, and sharing my antics on the games I play, but I'm also a little bit of a music fanatic.

I want to share with you my relatively small 'Car Music' playlist, I listen to these songs on the way to work, and basically whenever I drive anywhere.

To be honest some of the songs on this list are quite embarrassing, but I don't necessarily listen to a song because of the band/artist, I like to listen to songs for lyrics, because a lot of these songs mean something to me personally, and a lot of the others are just songs I generally like... so no making me feel bad about my music choices OK? LOL

I have a vast and ever-expanding music taste, so don't be alarmed if you think wtf (What the insert word here)

Xbox 360 Gamertag Change...

So previously my Gamertag on my Xbox was dylz312, this has now been changed to my nickname 'Dweelan' it's also pretty cool because I've also created a Blogger emblem in Call of Duty - Advanced Warfare, to showcase this and try and get some more readers.

I played COD for a little bit today, and haven't played that bad in months, it wasn't even the quality of the other team, it was just down to me slacking and being tired, so the best I managed today was like 12 kills - 30 deaths, whoops that's not going to do the ratio too good is it?

Bah, like I say, I am not the best gamer/COD player in the world, and I don't intend to be, I'm having a lot of fun, even if I do die multiple times a minute.

So here is my new name tag kindly provided to me by Xbox, this would have cost £6.79 but I had some money stocked up from Xbox rewards, so I think my contribution to it was around £1.99 or something like that.

This is just a quick post today, about sharing my excitement for my new Gamertag :D

Charlie & Me
Yes that is me wearing a chicken suit (This was because our old clan in Call of Duty - Black Ops 2 was called #CHICKEN) I miss the COD Elite days :-(

And yes that is also my husky called Charlie... and he's 3 this year!

Minecraft Monday...

So we played a little more Minecraft today when I say 'We' I mean my fellow bloggers and friends, Jennwee and Kirstwee :)

Link to Kirstwee's Blog
Link to Jennwee's Blog

(Please check them both out when you find the time).

Sooo back to Minecraft, what's new? Well I've built a nether portal, found some horse armor, tamed and bred 4 little doggies (One of them I called Charlie, and the other was called Rhino) we also have 3 puppies that we haven't named yet, because we've ran out of name tags :(

Any suggestions for names for the puppies?

I constantly seem to get lost in Minecraft so frequently dig up to get myself to normal ground, but when I tried this today, I went head first straight into a lava pit... Nice!

Ooh ooh ooh and did I tell you that I found more diamond today? I decided to dig underneath some lava and found another 11 bits, bringing our total to somewhere near 20 pieces of diamond woohoo!

Also I'd just like to say that visiting the Nether is something that I find emotionally draining, it's the scariest place in Minecraft, and there's so many nasty things there that it just makes you want to cry... having said that I did steal some nice goodies from chests in the Nether Fortress so that's worth some bonus points.

If you want my opinion, stay well clear of the nether :)

P.S. Thanks Angie Beardmore, for saying nice things about my blog :) I do try xoxox

Minecraft - Awesome Seed...

Sundays are for resting, putting your feet up and chilling out right? WRONG! Sundays are for playing Minecraft of course, and this Sunday that is just what we did.

I haven't actually played the game since the back end of last year and a lot has changed since then, and they have horses now! #Raisethehoof, so I'm super happy about that!

The first thing we did was do a little google search to find a seed that we could find some horses in, because apparently if you start the game on a random seed, then it's a lot harder to find them, so we did cheat a little bit, but we stumbled across an awesome seed!

The seed is 'toycatu19' for those of you who might not have heard of seeds, a seed is basically a starting point of your Minecraft world, some seeds offer different scenery and structures, so every seed is different in some shape or form.

When we started playing this Seed, we were spawned next to a lava pool, a bonus chest and some pumpkin heads, we then thought we would start a mine and dig downwards...

Within the first 10-15 minutes I found Coal, Redstone, Iron and Gold, after a further 10 minutes and stumbling across bedrock, I then found diamond, and we then went on to find emeralds also! How awesome is that, 30 minutes of mining and we have already found diamonds and emeralds! This seed is definitely worth a try!

I also managed to find and destroy two skeleton spawners and found some awesome items in the bonus chests including; diamond horse armor, name tags, enchanted books, Saddles and much much more!

We've only played this seed for about 4 hours this evening all in all, and it's probably one of the best seeds I've played on, in terms of loot and i'm well set on level 30 to kick this games ass!

I'm really excited to announce that I've also learned how to fish in Minecraft today (simple things in life) I bet you're all sitting there thinking what the heck?! this is like so 2012, sorry I don't really play much, but I'm now re-addicted.

I'll keep you posted with updates from our world :-)

COD AW - New Level/Update #2...

Good afternoon, I played a little Call of Duty Advanced Warfare last night as I wasn't tired and wanted to get to the next prestige level.

I've always said that I'm not the best COD player, but what really pulls me away from the game is getting private messages, such as the one I got last night from someone saying 'Thanks for doing nothing'

Well I'm sorry that I don't choose to spend my full day playing COD, or have as much time to devote into becoming a great player as you do, I play COD as often or as little as I like, and just because I don't fit into your 'Elite' crew of great players, please don't try and blame me for loosing the game, if I was such a bad player, then where were you? I seem to remember me being on my own for most of the match...

This really bugs the hell out of me when stuff like this happens grrrr! OK sorry, rant over...

I did eventually get some good games going last night, it normally takes me 2 or 3 matches to get into the game, and ended up frequently having lots of kills, my personal best for today was 30 Kills, 8 Deaths - Go me! lol

I have now advanced to Prestige Level 5 in game, I love the calling card and emblem, but I was a little disappointed as you don't earn any cool items for getting to Prestige 5 (Oh well) but the symbol for 5th prestige is pretty cool...

5th Prestige Emblem
On the subject of Prestiges in COD AW, I talked briefly about an update patch that went out not so long ago, which included the ability to buy advanced supply drops, aside from the poor reviews of the items in those supply drops, there has also been 15 new prestige levels added to the game bringing the total up to a massive 30 prestige levels, Each emblem is the same as before, but is known as 'Master Prestige' and you also get shiny gold emblems to show off on your calling cards!

Once you've mastered the second set of prestige levels, you take the coveted title of 'Grand Master Prestige' ooooooh sexy!

It has also been confirmed that once you enter the Master Prestige levels, your challenges and operations do not reset, making it a lot easier to get that crucial XP... BONUS!!

Moreover you can earn exclusive Royalty loadout items (pictured below), and what's even better is that after each Master Prestige level you get to, you can earn prestige weapon loot, so basically you get a free Elite weapon which includes some of the best elite weapons in the game (I might add)... I'm nowhere near that stage yet, but I'm #EXCITED. (You can't get the AK12 R,I,P though, slightly disappointed but hey ho)

COD AW - Clan Wars & Clan Raids...

So I've talked about our clan RHN being level 22 now and I was searching and searching to find out how many levels our clan could go up to, and what rewards we can reep.

Something I haven't quite found out yet, is how much clan xp you earn and when... so I'm going to keep looking :)

So here is a list of the rewards you can earn from clan level progression:

So if you're not already in a clan, get in one now to earn some awesome rewards because a little bit of double XP goes a long way, and the red/golden clan tags look cool too :-)

Clan Raids

Something else coming soon are Clan Raids, this gives you the opportunity to spend your clan tokens (We have 900 in the bank) to participate in time sensitive challenges to get some great rewards, from what I can gather you participate with other clans and can earn some exclusive loadout items, which looks like the below:

The Equilibrium Set
What's even better is, there will be a Clan Raid preview for Clans in the Diamond Division starting on 09/03/2015... Just two days away!!

If you are in a clan and competing in a clan raid, please let me know how it goes :)

The Pyramid - Movie Review...

The Pyramid Release Date - 05/12/2014
Estimated Budget: Unkown

Good morning all sorry I didn't post anything else yesterday, thought I'd give you a rest from one of my rants for a couple of seconds.

My post today is about a movie I watched last night called the Pyramid.

It's basically a story about a team of archeologists who discover a 3 sided pyramid underground, I mean the prospect of a 3-sided pyramid is daft enough in my opinion.

So a team of diggers cracks it open and a huge explosion of toxic gas entails, leaving the guy for dead.

This is their first warning, they shouldn't have carried on.

Because of this the team are told not to carry on, but decide to send a Mars Rover inside to make sure their hard work is not for nothing.

The rover is damaged by cat-like creatures so they go on a rescue mission to go and get this rover (which happens to be on loan from NASA) when they reach the robot, it is damaged and in pieces, and what do they do carry on the search for the rest of the robot.

This pyramid turns out to be a prison for something that has been living there for centuries, and has a mixture of booby traps, dead ends, and a labyrinth of mystery.

Will they ever escape the pyramid?

I know the answer, but you'll have to watch it to find out!

On another note the only actor of note in this movie is James Buckley (Jay from the Inbetweeners) he now has a beard, and plays the part of a scared funny guy, it's still hard to take him seriously in a kind of serious movie.

It's still worth a watch though, as even though it's classified as a horror, it's not scary, just a bit jumpy in places.

Further Storyline (IMDb)

"A team of U.S. archaeologists unearths an ancient pyramid buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert. As they search the pyramid's depths, they become hopelessly lost in its dark and endless catacombs. Searching for a way out, they become desperate to seek daylight again. They come to realize they aren't just trapped, they are being hunted".

Enjoy your day :)

And Then There Were 10 (Rabbits)...

Good morning all, today is a sad day as we had to say goodbye to one of our little furry friends, he/she has been given away to a lovely home who's going to take care of him/her, there's 11 white rabbits sitting on a wall, and if 1 white rabbit should be given away then there's 10 white rabbits sitting on the wall, hmmmm doesn't have the same ring to it.

Here's a picture of him/her in his/her little box and with some nibbles to keep him I'm gonna go for him, to keep Mr Baby Rabbit occupied in the back of the car.

Byyyyeee and have fun in your new house :P

On the way back from dropping Mr Rabbit off, there was a lovely sunset that we saw, the below picture doesn't really do it justice to be honest with you, it's a 'you had to be there moment' it's times like these that you need to have an SLR camera with you (which I don't own) lol...

You might see me later on today, who knows :)

Evening Foodies...

I read somewhere that posting 3-5 blog posts a day with different content can dramatically increase the amount of exposure my blog gets (I'm using this as an excuse, because I'm addicted to making blog posts)

I wanted to share one more thing with you today before I went to bed, and that is my lovely evening meal (dinner) that I devoured earlier on, if you're hungry (or a vegetarian) look away now...

This is called the Mill High Burger, and comes with 2 beef burgers, each layered with a slice of bacon and cheese, and placed neatly into a soft flour topped white bun, served with Rocket salad and a vinaigrette dressing, home cooked chips, onion rings and homemade coleslaw.

There's not one thing I would change about this meal, and it is very very filling, this is somewhere I would definitely go again, and all this only cost £8.45. Great price, great atmosphere, great food, the full package.

If you want to have a quick look at their website, please feel free to follow the link below :)

Night all :-)

Meet R2D2...

This is obviously not following the COD AW theme I've got going at the moment, but I'd like you to meet my new purchase (my new friend) R2D2 himself, he's very nice and stores all of my savings in his little backpacky thing, or his shell, well he is basically a moneybox... but he really is real honest :)

He is around 19cm tall, and probably won't fit much money in, but I think maybe around 100-150 £1 coins perhaps, a lot of the storage space is taken up by the bulky battery pack.

The best feature of my new pal is that he makes his cool noises when coins are inserted, he has around 5 different phrases, and if you're a geek like me you'll know exactly what he's saying :D

I actually picked him up from Avon for the bargain of £9.50, I don't think there's many left though, but I have sourced one for you, it's pretty much the only place I can find one... mind I only searched for about 3 seconds.

Anyway, here he is £21.76, even at that he's worth it :-)
