Funday Monday Pop Vinyl Collection Update...

Bonjour! because of everything going on lately and as I said in my blog post the other day, I've let this blog slip, there were plenty of things I was going to do, like show you the unboxings of my pop vinyl's, including the mystery damaged ones I got for £4.99, but it wasn't meant to be and to be fair I've forgotten what they were, I'm sure they were a little disappointing though as I sold most of them, to make way for better pops. I've done a lot of trading, buying and selling recently, it's my little escape away from everyday life, something to focus on. Though I have been debating whether or not just to pack it all in and sell them all, they take up so much space, and it's so much effort, there are so many variations of one Pop, I'm never going to be able to complete a set without pouring ridiculous amounts of money into it. For example, to complete the Doctor Who set, the most expensive Pop is the 12th Doctor in an orange space suit, and he is going for about £80-£100. Grrr.

Anyhoo, before I give you a little update to my collection, as it's Monday, I thought I'd post the Funday Monday within this post, kill 2 birds with 1 stone and all that, you get me? 

This is the probably the most genuine meme I've found ever, if anyone tells you they just have one Pop Vinyl, then they're either lying to you, or they just don't understand the whole concept behind it. 

I'm yet to meet anyone who doesn't think Pop Vinyl's are awesome, and everyone is always really shocked, when you tell them the value of some of the pops, like yeah seriously. 

For those of you in the know, this is just old news, but I'll share with you what some of the stickers are all about, and terms etc.

1. A Pop Vinyl with an 'Underground Exclusive' sticker on, was previously an exclusive elsewhere, and they have been re-stickered for the European Market, they are still, however, an exclusive ;)
2. Pop Vinyl's with stickers on such as 'Hot Topic' or 'Entertainment Earth' are exclusive to that particular retailer, and usually can't be purchased anywhere else. 
3. Pop Vinyl's with an ECCC sticker, or a Star Wars Celebration sticker, are convention exclusives, and available at particular comic cons, whilst also been offered out to retailers all over the world, usually shortly after the event (Except the UK, we wait a while). 
4. A Blizzard Exclusive Pop Vinyl is a Pop Vinyl that can usually only be purchased from the Blizzard Gear Store. (You also normally get bloody customs charges). 
5. A 'Flocked' Pop Vinyl, is a Pop Vinyl that has been coated in a fluffy like fuzzy material, sometimes Pop Vinyl's have a pink 'Flocked Sticker' on them sometimes they don't.
6. Glow in the dark stickers are pretty much self-explanatory, however, you will more often than not need to 'Charge them' before they'll properly glow, Pop Vinyl's are best charged using a UV/Black-light, and will allow for a more awesome glow. 
7. A Pop Vinyl with a 'Chase' Sticker, this is a limited edition exclusive Pop Vinyl. At the moment there is normally 1 Chase to every 5 commons, so it is a 1:6 ratio, the chase pop Vinyl will be different, it will have the same box, but it will be a different colour or a different pose, or it could just be flocked, whilst the common is not. These used to be much harder to get when they had a ration of 1:36, but times change. These are arguably the most exclusive, and the most sought after Pop Vinyl's.  

There's probably way more that I've missed off, but I can't think of any others off the top of my head, I don't have any ridiculous rare ones, unfortunately, but it's still a canny little collection, so here's the update in no Particular order.

So that's it for now at least, affordability is a major issue right now. However according to a Popular Price Guide, the collection is worth $1130, so around £860 depending on the exchange rate. Having said that, it is an American guide, and things may be worth more or less over here, but it's a good start, and I've paid nowhere near £860 for my collection of pops, probably close to maybe half of that.

It's also really annoying that I don't have a round number of Pops, the OCD in me is kicking right off.

A little bit above there is a little preview of my collection, this is how they are displayed for now. 

On a side note, the San Diego Comic Con has just wrapped up, and as usual, Funko released loads of different exclusives. I spent a good 4 hours trying to buy some from various websites, and couldn't get anywhere, all I want is a damn Chrome Batman! I doubt that will ever happen. The pretty decent news though, some of them are going to be stocked in Asda and Tesco, a nice change than waiting forever to get your hands on them.

It's Pop Time (Mail Call)...

Everyone loves a good Mail call right? Well, I do! I'm always excited to open little boxes or parcels, even if I know what they are... There's just something about the sound of you tearing off the sellotape, or snipping the plastic wires. It might have something to do with the fact that I am a popaholic and a shopaholic. #yolo.

Anyway, just a quick post this morning to let you know that this beauty has arrived. It is my first exclusive Pop, I believe these were first exclusive to Target in America, although it doesn't have the sticker on!

Oooh, it's so pretty! I'm now a huge fan of Deadpool Pops, and really want to collect them all! One day I have millions upon millions of pops.

On a side note, I have an interview again for an internal job, later on, today, wish me luck, oh boy will I need it! ;) 

I still have another 14 pops on their way, all with different delivery dates, and I only know what 4 of them are!

The ones from the Emerald City Comic Con should be posted shortly, and the mystery ones I'm waiting from Popinabox still... Here's hoping for some exclusives :D

Emerald City Comic Con 2017 (ECCC 2017)...

So the 15th Emerald City Comic Con is upon us until 5th March 2017. This is at the Washington State Convention Centre in Seattle. Unfortunately, I am not there, but maybe one day I will get such a great opportunity, wishful thinking. I never actually have been to a Comic Con, but that is going to change really soon, next opportunity to go somewhere over here, I'm there so let me know if you know any upcoming events.

The main reason I am talking about the ECCC 2017 is because of the Exclusive Pop Vinyls! I am so so

Stranger Things - Exclusive

addicted to these Pops, and they're some pretty sick Pops available exclusive to the ECCC, my favourites are the Upside Down Eleven and Barb from Stranger Things (You need to watch that), the glow in the dark crusader Pop, and the Pharah character from one of my favourite games - Overwatch!

I have ordered 3 Pops from the convention, and will be revealing all when they arrive, hopefully in the next few days, each Pop was around £14.00, and I had to pay £10.50 postage fees, short term pain for a long term gain? Or I'm just trying to justify my addiction?

In total, I am expecting 14 new Pops, and I have no idea what 10 of them are, 4 of them are exclusive Pops, which I will share with you in another blog post, as well as explaining why I don't know what 10 of the pops will be.
The unboxings will be so much fun!
